A child’s drink goes on its own little adventure every day. It travels in the car, sits in the classroom, and rolls around on the playground. By the time your child is ready for a sip that drink has been through a lot. It needs a container that can handle the trip.
One that keeps it cool, keeps it safe, and does not leak along the way. Your child just wants a refreshing drink when they are thirsty. And you want a container you can trust. This is where metal water bottles come in.

The most important thing to check is what the bottle is made of. Look for bottles marked as 18/8 stainless steel. This type is strong, does not rust, and does not have any inner lining that could leak unwanted tastes into the water. It is the same high quality stuff used in kitchen tools and it keeps the water tasting like water, which is exactly what you want.
Size that fits their hands:
Kids come in all sizes, and so should their bottles. A bottle that is too big will be heavy for them to carry and might not fit in their school bag’s side pocket. A bottle that is too small means they will run out of water before recess is over.
The lid must be leak proof:
There is nothing worse than finding a puddle of water at the bottom of a backpack, soaking all the books and homework. Always check the lid design. A good lid will have a silicone seal inside that creates a tight lock. Look for spout lids that are easy for small mouths to drink from but hard for water to escape from.
Easy to clean design:
Kids can be messy, and bottles can get grimy fast if you cannot reach all the corners. Choose a bottle with a wide mouth opening. This lets you easily fit a sponge inside to scrub the bottom. It also lets you reach every part of the lid.
A fun look they will love:
If your child likes how their bottle looks, they will actually want to use it. Let them have a say in the color or if it has their favorite animal or character on it. When they feel a connection to their bottle, they are more likely to remember to bring it home and drink from it all day long.
